Sheep Milk, Truffle Cheese
Inspired by Italy's truffled cheeses, this Wisconsin sheep cheese is made from the milk of pasture-raised sheep. Its rind is washed in coveted truffle oil and the cheese is aged for 6 months, during which time it takes on a unique, complex, slightly sweet flavor. This sheep truffle cheese features a semi-firm texture that's perfect for slicing, cubing, shaving, or grating. It even won 1st place at the 2011 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest, 1st place at the 2012 World Championship Cheese Contest, and 1st place at the 2013 World Cheese Awards!
